Watch With Kristin: Jonathan Groff Status on Glee
Since Jonathan’s casting news for The Submission yesterday, I guess this is a popular question in everyone’s minds.
Luca in New York, N.Y.: Please tell me you have intel on whether or not his Groffiness Jonathan Groff will be appearing on Glee next season!
We have some not so good news, at least for Glee fans. Jonathan was just cast in an off-Broadway show (The Submission), and it runs pretty much the whole time Glee is in production for the first half of season three. Our resident Broadway expert predicts Groff will be up to his ears in stage duties from August until the end of October. Unless Jonathan flies back and forth on his one day off while performing, Jesse St. James will most likely be MIA for the first part of next season. But who knows, The Groff may not like to sleep, so maybe he’ll do both! Fun fact about his new show, True Blood’s Rutina Wesley is also starring in it.
What Watch With Kristin forgot to mention is that last year Jonathan was doing Deathtrap which had a longer run compared to The Submission. Deathtrap ended in January and was in London whereas The Submission ends in October and is in New York. So Jonathan returning for this season is higher and we could get him in more episodes compared to Season 2 but it all really comes down to Ryan Murphy and Glee co again on whether on not they will have Jonathan back for Season 3.Tweet

Ryan Murphy just said in an interview that Rachel & Finn will be together the whole 3rd season…
So even IF Jon returns to Glee there will most likely no St. Berry comeback…
